How Much Does Therapy Cost in TX?
Seeing a psychotherapist or counselor can vary, depending on what your therapeutic needs are. The cost to see a therapist in central TX (Austin area) ranges from $85 – $250 per session.
Some Austin agencies & therapists offer a sliding scale therapy for people/clients who don’t have insurance or benefits, while many do accept insurance (be sure to verify this with your insurance carrier). For more info, see our “How Much Do Therapists Cost“ article.
ATTC is a needs-based center, not a profit-based center. We pride ourselves on working with clients in Austin and beyond, to remove financial barriers, so everyone can get the help they need. Our therapists accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (we do not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO), and Aetna.

Currently, ATTC offers online therapy – psychotherapy(video visit) for clients, due to COVID-19. However, we’d love to chat with you about we can work with you in your therapeutic journey. We also offer a hybrid model where we will provide in-person therapy and online, as well.
